Detailed Narrative Description of Project:
The project is consist of preparation of operation manuals and plans for a five years term beginning from 2004 and preliminary design of following ten years period for Harmandalı Sanitary (Solid Waste) Landfill Area of İzmir, the third big city of the country, producing approximately 2 000 ton domestic, industrial and medical wastes.
Total area of the landfill is 1 000 000 m2. Design is prepared in accordance with the planned future energy production.
In scope of this project, several approaches are developed for the landfill management of domestic, industrial and medical wastes. The landfill area has been designed as divided into several lots. Impervious zones are formed to prevent seepage, access roads, leached water collection and disposal systems have been designed
Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided:
Following services provided by Temelsu to İZSU:
• Topographical survey of landfill area in 1/1000 scale,
• Comparing with natural land map and filled area map and defining the filled area and its volumes,
• Superposition of cadastral, ownership and layout data,
• Preparation of 3D map and model,
• Geotechnical survey,
• Design of landfill area, storm water drainage, access roads, leached water drainage and storage for five years ,
• Preliminary design for landfill areas of ten year period,
• Landscape design,
• Preparation of BOQ and technical specifications
• Preparation of operation report.
