The unique geo-political location of Azerbaijan provides the country with an opportunity to play an important role in the Asia-Europe transport corridor, provide inter-continental transit services, and serve the turnover of goods in the region.
Located in the northern part of the country, the Baku- Russia Border Road with the total length of 170 km has a proven strategic importance for the development of the economic and trade ties with Russia and East European countries. The road comprises 43 river bridges, 15 interchanges, 90 box culverts and 20 underpasses
