The objective of the assignment is to survey and redesign the irrigation infrastructure of Lower Ganga Canal including its direct off-taking distributaries and minors up to first 500m, Parallel Lower Ganga Canal, Farrukhabad Branch and Bewar Branch including their direct off-taking distributaries and minors up to 500m. In addition to this Machhua feeder length 4.15 km off taking from LGC at km 63.65 and joining 55 km of Machhua distributary is to be surveyed and design is to be carried out. The scope of assignment is mainly as shown below:
(i) Review of existing data, designs, studies, design manuals, instructions and initial field visits.
(ii) Water Allocation plan.
(iii) Survey.
(iv) Design/ Redesign including construction planning and economic and financial analysis.
(v) Preparation of bid document for canal lining and automation system.
Specialists from Temelsu are the key experts of the mentioned project and responsible for the fields of canal lining and canal automation. Key expert of Canal lining reviewed existing data and design manuals of the system supported by site visits. A detailed design report with bidding documents and drawings shall be submitted to Employer.
Key Expert of Canal Automation reviewed existing data and principle of command and current communication methods. A new design were prepared with respect to Indian Standards. A detailed design report with bidding documents shall be submitted to Employer.
