With the project, realization of ÇukurbaÄŸ Dam, on the upstream of EcemiÅŸ Creek, in order to regulate water of this creek; EcemiÅŸ I Diversion Weir on the downstream of EcemiÅŸ Creek to divert water released from the dam as well as water of intermediate catchment area to SarıtaÅŸ Dam to be constructed at Karaçay Valley; conveyance lines between EcemiÅŸ I Diversion Weir – SarıtaÅŸ Dam and SarıtaÅŸ Dam – Bor-Emen Plain; and irrigation and drainage facilities of a high pressured pipe system are proposed. Investment cost is USD 426.28 mil., income-expenditure ratio is 0.930 and internal profit rate is 4.67%.

Proposed facilities are as below:

• Storage Facilities

– ÇukurbaÄŸ Dam (Rockfill type with concrete lining at upstream face, 3.22 hm3 total volume of embankment and 29 850 m3 total concrete volume, height from thalweg 63 m, irrigation purposes, spillway type: uncontrolled side spillway, discharge capacity: 245 m3/s)
– SarıtaÅŸ Dam (Rockfill type with concrete lining at upstream face, 1.88 hm3 total volume of embankment and 14 588 m3 total concrete volume, height from thalweg 78 m, irrigation purposes, spillway type: direct intake, uncontrolled, discharge capacity: 206 m3/s)
– EcemiÅŸ 1 Weir

• Transmission facilities

– Tunnels (5 modified horseshoe shaped tunnels with lengths 2650 m, 2980 m, 3750 m, 17100 m and 15500 m
– Canals (2 canals with trapezoidal section and concrete lining, with lengths 2750 m and 950 m)

• Main Canal, secondary canals and network

– Irrigation network type: High pressure pipe system
– Irrigation area: 25 067 ha, net irrigation area: 22 560 ha.
– Length of main irrigation canals: 57 250 m
– Left bank main canal capacity: 12,07 m3/s
– Right bank main canal capacity: 4,72 m3/s
– Length of secondary irrigation canals: 262 000 m
