Mersin Water and Waste Water Authority (MESKÄ°) has required institutional support during the implementation of Mersin Wastewater Project co-financed by EIB (European Investment Bank). The assistance services include the strengthening of MESKÄ° in institutional, financial and technical respects.
Institutional: Analyze and adapt the organizational structure of MESKÄ° in such way that MESKÄ° is fully prepared to administrate the WWTP, to meet increased future tasks and improve its services to better justify the tariff increase which becomes necessary to finance the Mersin Wastewater Project.
Financial: Reinforce the financial basis of MESKÄ° such that MESKÄ° remains in the position to respond to its financial obligations during project execution.
Technical: Improve the know-how of MESKÄ° staff to cope with increased requirements in view of future wastewater treatment plant, the sludge disposal and to maintain a high service level in the water supply sector
The services are also includes assistance in tendering and contract procedures.
