Existing Cankurtaran Passage on between 10th km and 16th km of Hopa-Borcka road is closed to traffic most of the year because of snow, fog and frost and Cankurtaran Tunnel has been planned to replace Cankurtaran Pass. All engineering services performed in Cankurtaran Highway Tunnel, 6350 m in length, to provide continuous traffic flow at this region comprise the contents of the project. Engineering services include mapping, staking the alignment, geotechnical studies, construction material investigation, foundation investigation, tunnel projects, ventilation and illumination projects, design of link roads and bridge projects.
Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by TEMELSU:
– Surveying and mapping,
– Determination of alternative alignments of tunnel,
– Selecting the most suitable alignment and characteristics,
– Geological and geotechnical investigations (geological mapping, boring, construction materials investigations etc.)
– Preliminary and final designs of tunnel (including ventilation and illumination designs).
– Designs of link roads and a bridge
– Preparation of Bill of Quantities.
– Preparation of Tender Documents.
