Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, can be regarded as the capital of Central Asia with its 2.5 million population. Being on the cross roads between the West and the East, Tashkent Airport is the busiest one in Central Asia. The Tashkent Airport Rehabilitation project covers the rehabilitation of the taxiways (129880 m2) and apron (16170 m2) as well as the international terminal building.
Main electrical and mechanical services provided are: heating & cooling, fire fighting, sanitary & waste water, HV switchgear, electrical substations, LV switchgear, sub-mains switchgear and distribution, uninterrupted power supplies and battery systems, lighting, mechanical plant supplies, automatic control, monitoring and building management system, fire alarm system, security, door access and door alarms, flight Information display System (FIDS), baggage handling system (BHS), CCTV, lifts, telephone system (PABX), master clock system, local area network system (LANS), passenger loading bridges.
The design and the project management services comprised the construction supervision of the airside works, detailed design, environmental assessment and construction supervision of the terminal rehabilitation works. Procurement of the special equipment of the taxiways, apron and the terminal building as well as preparation of tender documents, and assisting the Client during pre-qualification of the contractors and during the tender were also included in the scope of works.
