Detailed Narrative Description of Project:
The First European Games will take place in the City of Baku, Azerbaijan. Because of the European Games many new Olympic complexes are being constructed on the different areas of Baku. The government’s ambitious plans to develop this area intensified after September 2013 till to May 2015. The National Flag Square and The Baku Crystal Hall take place on the same area and Baku-Alat highway km: 4-6 is the continuation of the road section km: 2-4 which was constructed during the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012.
Baku-Alat highway km: 4-6 part has a total length and 2.2 kilometers.
Number of lanes: 2×3 (Category 1 in accordance with international standards)
At-grade roundabout intersection 1 nos.
Pedestrian underpass: 2 nos.
Total Construction Cost: 75.133.512 USD
Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided by TEMELSU:
• Overall technical and administrative management of the contract
• Checking the Shop Drawings submitted by the Contractor
• Supervision of construction and ensuring the quality required (FIDIC Compatible Contracts)
• Control and appraisal of progress and reporting
• Determining the value of approved variations and fixing new rates subject to limitations of authority.
• Issuing payment certificates
• Issuing Completion and Defects Liability Certificates
• Ensuring implementation of Environmental, health and safety and traffic management measures
• Advising the Employer on all matters related to the execution of the contract,
• Verification of “As-built” drawings supplied by the contractors
