The project aimed to connect the Hatay Province to Tarsus- Adana – Gaziantep motorway, which is the main transport corridor of South-East Turkey. These Tarsus- Adana – Gaziantep and Toprakkale – Iskenderun motorways are connecting agricultural and industrial centers to the Mersin and Iskenderun ports. The motorway located on the main corridor connecting Turkey and Syria.
The motorway, 76 km long, reaches 129,60 km. in length with the inclusion of the link roads. 72,50 km of this length is 3×2 lane and the rest in 2 x 2 lane. Along the motorway, there are 9 interchanges, 421 box culverts, 58 underpasses, 19 overbridges, 9 interchange bridges, 11 river crossing bridges and 8 viaducts.
Supervision for the design and construction comprise the motorway and all the related structures and works as drainage, landscaping, safety measures, lighting and communication.
Construction of whole motorway was completed and open for services.
