The Ministry of Transport in Kyrgyz Repubic assigned Temelsu to study and revise the Ventilation system of Tuya – Ashuu tunnels which is constructed in scope of Second Road Rehabilitation Project financed by ADB.

The tunnel is located around 3950m elevations ASL. The tunnel cross section is 40m2 and maximum tunnel capacity is 73 till 144 cars per hour depending on traffic velocity. The original calculation of air exchange was made to detect the carbon oxide, nitrogen oxide and aldehite contents. This study was based on Jet Fan using ventilators made in Russia and Transverse –longitudinal system with ventilators made in Russia.

Temelsu recalculated the ventilation system according to 0 to 10 km/h congested traffic velocity in City Tunnel and 30 to 60 km/h traffic velocity for Highway Tunnel. As result Temelsu suggested to increase the number 11 of above mentioned type Jet fans to number 29 reversible Jet Fans.
