Detailed Narrative Description of Project:
• As a result of rapid population growth caused by rural migration and unplanned development, natural flow of storm water had blocked around Şanlıurfa city center. In order to develop and maintain a well functioning drainage system, the existing and the planned systems are reviewed, the measures are defined and conceptual designs are prepared. At the second stage of study, implementation designs of 30 km of storm water drainage lines that consists of concrete pipes of diameters 300-2000 mm. are prepared.
Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided by TEMELSU:
Temelsu staff provided following services:
• Review of available data, collection of necessary meteorological, geological, topographical etc. data and definition of problematic areas,
• Review and updating of the existing maps,
• Establishment of project design criteria,
• Review of existing storm water drainage plans,
• Identification of alternative solutions for storm water systems
• Design of proposed storm water drainage network ,
• Establishment of hydraulic solutions,
• Design of structures and measurement,
• Cost estimates and
• Preparation of a staged investment program.
