Description of Project:
Kepezkaya Weir and HEPP is located on the Göksu River, at south of Karaman province and on the Taurus mountains. The main features and technical characteristics are as follows:
• Height of the weir 12 m
• Conveyance tunnel 4,00 m high with horse shoe shape, 3610 m long
• Net head 88,73 m
• 2 x 2,4 m diameter penstocks
• Installed capacity 2×14,0 =28,0 MW with two vertical axis Francis turbines
• 3550 m access roads
• Produced energy is merged with the energy coming from Damlapınar HEPP at Kepezkaya switchyard and transmitted to the Karaman province.
Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided by TEMELSU:
The Owner’s Engineering Services are provided under three main items as Management, Design Review and Site Supervision:
a) Management Services: Monitoring work programs and work progress, preparation of a Project Management Manuel describing the inter relations and making correspondences between the Client, Contractor and the Owners’ Engineer, holding the Project co-ordination meetings, provision of Operation and Maintenance books from the contractors, checking the interim payments in accordance with the work progress and the budget, evaluation of the change orders, settlement of disputes, preparation of all periodic and specific reports.
b) Design Review Services: Design review of final or detail design of facilities selected by the Client in respect of correctness and suitability in accordance with the acceptable engineering principles and giving recommendations for revision if deemed necessary.
c) Site Supervision Services: Supervision of the site manufacturing in respect of Quality Control, suitability to the design and giving non conformance reports and work stop orders if deemed necessary. Supervising the equipment, material, machinery and personnel of the EPC contractor in respect of suitability to the work. Evaluation of Contractors change order requests. Supervising the contractor in respect of environment, health and safety.
