Narrative Description of Project:
Dogancay Weir and HEPP is located on the Dogancayi distributary of the Seyhan Basin, within the borders of AladaÄź district at the south of Adana province. The main features and technical characteristics are as follows:
• Weir is concrete body type with uncontrolled spillway
• Height of the weir is 20,3 m, crest length is 40m, and there are 2 scouring sluices and 1 fish-pass.
• Pressured conveyance tunnel with horse-shoe section has 3.5m diameter and 6864 m length, and will be drilled with TBM.
• Underground penstock with 2.3 m diameter and 770 m length
• Gross head 324 m, Net head 305,06 m.
• Project flow rate: 23 m3 / sec
• It has 2 vertical axis Francis turbines
• Installed capacity is 61,95 MW
Dogancay HEPP has a totally subterranean power plant with its penstock and plant (including plant exit tunnels) completely under the ground after the conveyance tunnels. The underground plant’s dimensions are 35x16x32 m. The value of the construction contract is aprroximately US$ 60.000.000 (105.668.010 TL).
Description of Actual Services Provided by TEMELSU:
Supervision services include but are not limited with the following:
• Owner’s engineering services
• Assistance in project management
• Ensuring that civil, hydromechanic and electromechanical works are completed in accordance with the budget and the work programme.
• Preparation of monthly progress reports.
• Ensuring that Environmental and Health & Safety precautions are taken.
• Checking the quantity surveys of the Contractor’s interim payment reports.
• Review of the detailed design in respect of feasibility, quality, and reliability.
• Supervision of the construction, site manufacturing and materials. QA-QC works.
• Carrying out Provisional and Final Acceptance works.
• Provision of experts in problematic issues.
