Narrative Description of Project:
Preparation of feasibility reports and final designs for the four dams and hydropower plants to be constructed in order to utilize the hydroelectric potential on the Murat River, which is a major tributary of Fırat River, between Muş Plain and Palu (between altitudes 1225 m and 870 m). Total installed power shall be approximately 1825 MW and the annual energy production shall be around 4260 GWh / year.

Description of Actual Services Provided by TEMELSU:
• Determination of the water potentials at the dam sites taking into account the current and future conditions of all upstream irrigation and drinking water projects within the catchment area of 22 000 km2 located upstream of the Upper Kaleköy Dam, flood hydrology calculations
• Geological studies at the dam sites and reservoirs, determination of the impact of the Eastern Anatolian Fault line, material surveys
• Carry out expropriation surveys
• Determination of the types of the dams
• Determination of the layout for the dam and related structures, carry out optimization studies
• Carry out cost calculations, economical and financial analyses
• Preparation of entire project drawings
• Preparation of respective feasibility studies for 4 separate dams and final project design reports and translation of the same into English
