The project area is the Develi Closed Basin and the Frakdin Plain located on the Seyhan River-Zamantı tributary. With this Project, a land area of approximately 36000 ha will be irrigated and energy will be produced with two HEPP’s. Besides, water requirements of the Sultan Reedy and the Yay Lake, which are under scope of the RAMSAR Agreement, will be supplied. The Project will be assessed in two stages:
– 1st Stage covers: Feasibility Revision of Develi Plain 2nd Phase Project and the feasiblity studies for the Frakdın Plain to be irrigated by the dam to be constructed on the Zamantı River.
– 2nd Stage covers: Preparation of all final designs for all irrigation areas according to feasiblity studies to be made in the 1stStage.
By this Project, a land area of 36000 ha will be supplied with sufficient irrigation water and modern irrigation systems. Wetlands will become sustainable.
Essential increases will be reached in the revenues of farmers and in employment. Drainage insufficiencies in the Develi Plain will be solved and high rate of yield will be achieved by decreasing groundwater under the plant root level. Besides, energy will be produced by the HEPPs to be constructed under scope of the Project.
Main studies to be prepared under scope of the Project are: Reports of Land Classification and Drainage, Hydrological Report, Report of Engineering Geology, Report of Agricultural Economy.

• Land classification and land surveys (36000 ha) of drainage works and preparation of reports
• Preparation of feasibility report for Gümüşören Dam
• Preparation of feasibility revision report for Develi 2nd.stage
• Preparation of preliminary report for application based irrigation designs

• Establishment of triangulation network, installment of polygon and levelling points for the application based irrigation designs
• Applications of main, auxiliary, tertiary and discharge canals for application based irrigation designs

• Preparation of cost estimate and bill of quantities for irrigation design
