Physical plans and development plans were prepared for the settlement centers in the region and the target year of 2020. Based on the development plans water supply and distribution network, wastewater treatment plant, sewerage network and stormwater drainage and other infrastructural projects with various characteristics were carried out.
• Review of available data (meteorological, topographical, flood records, water consumption etc.)
• Site studies to determine the existing service level and problematic areas
• Identification of drainage basins, alignment of main collectors and sub-areas where waste water or stormwater from these areas to be discharged to the main collectors, water consumption and water distribution network.
• Establishing of design criteria:
• Hydrological
• Hydrogeological
• Water consumption
• Coefficients necessary for modelling
• Identification of alternative solutions for wastewater treatment plant, water supply and distribution network and sewerage network and stormwater systems and comparison of alternatives on economical basis (present value and rate of return)
• Preparation of designs and drawings and bill of quantities for proposed systems
• Formulation of an investment program for the first stage implementation to mitigate negative impacts in priority areas for public health and flood protection and the second stage implementation to attain the project targets for the year 2020.
